A massive fire destroyed tens of clothes and used goods kiosks on the second floor of Pasar Senen, Block II, at around 4.25 AM, Thursday (1/19). Until now, the cause of the fire is still unknown, because 42 fire trucks and tens of firemen still try to put out the flames at the scene.

"Right now, we're still trying to put out the flames," explained Muchtar Zakaria, Head of Operation Unit for Central Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-dept, Thursday (1/19).

Relaying on beritajakarta.com's data, a number of peddlers and kiosk owners are seen trying to evacuate their valuables. Even, Transjakarta lane, precisely at Pasar Senen bus stop is strewn by piles of peddler's merchandises.

"Very hot inside, There are still peddler merchandises inside and the smoke is still thick," said Arif (26), one of kiosk owners on the second floor who tries to save his merchandise.

The fire incident has triggered traffic jam, because many people and the passing motorists want to see it closely.
